Fantasy Records is proud supporter of Farm Aid and their ongoing mission to keep family farmers on the land. Willie Nelson, Neil Young and John Mellencamp organized the first Farm Aid concert in 1985 with Dave Matthews joining the Farm Aid Board of Directors in 2001. Since then, the non-profit organization has raised nearly $60 million to promote a strong and resilient family farm system of agriculture. Best known for their annual music, food and farm festival, Farm Aid works each and every day, year-round to celebrate and strengthen farmers, advocate for fair farm policies, connect farmers and eaters, and bring family farm food to everyone.
Fantasy artists including Lukas Nelson & Promise of the Real, Nathaniel Rateliff & The Night Sweats, Valerie June, Tanya Tucker, Tedeschi Trucks Band, Paul Simon, Grace Potter, Warren Haynes and Gov’t Mule have made many memorable appearances at the festival and continue to show their support year-round. In fact, Nathaniel Rateliff was so taken with his initial experience at Farm Aid and his ongoing association with Willie Nelson, it inspired the formation of his own non-profit called, The Marigold Project, which works to support community and non-profits on issues of racial, social and economic justice.
