One of Austin’s favorite homegrown restaurants, Lucy’s Fried Chicken is helmed by local chef James Holmes and offers an innovative take on comfort food classics and fried chicken.

The festivities kick off at 12noon CT and features music from: Lukas Nelson & Promise of the Real, SUSTO, Marcus King Band, Logan Ledger, Tyler Ramsey, BAILEN and Katie Pruitt. Artist info below.

Katie Pruitt

Katie Pruitt’s prodigious gifts as a songwriter who fearlessly tackles controversial topics with grace and aplomb have earned the respect of her peers, while her ferocious live performances have gained her a fiercely devoted following in her adopted hometown of Nashville, Tennessee. Following a series of independently-released live, in-studio recordings, she is about to begin work on her debut album for Rounder.

BAILEN

BAILEN’s gorgeous harmonies, striking arrangements and evocative songwriting springs from a very deep well.  NYC based David, Daniel and Julia Bailen were raised by their professional musician parents, and the young trio immersed themselves in a record collection that included Simon & Garfunkel, Joni Mitchell, Carole King and The Band. The confident, meticulous songcraft of their debut album Thrilled To Be Here, produced by John Congleton (St, Vincent, The War On Drugs) out April 26th on Fantasy Records, is rooted in the young group’s preternatural dexterity, insight and lyrical bite.

Tyler Ramsey

Tyler Ramsey, the former Band of Horses co-writer and guitarist, recently announced the release of his exquisite new solo album For The Morning, out on April 5th, 2019 on Fantasy Records. Written and produced by Ramsey, the new album features 10 captivating songs, deeply rooted in his poetic lyricism, razor-sharp instrumentation and gorgeous, languid vocals. Inspired by the lush, deep green and stunning landscape of his home in the mountains outside of Asheville, NC, Ramsey threads rock, country and folk into a rich, new branch of American roots music all his own.

Logan Ledger

Logan Ledger’s interest in roots music was piqued at a very young age. As he explains it, he became obsessed with older styles of country music after discovering the music of Hank Williams, George Jones, and Bill Monroe. After playing in a few bluegrass bands during and after college, he made the move to Nashville to immerse himself in his craft. He caught the attention of renowned bassist Dennis Crouch, who introduced him to legendary producer and musician T Bone Burnett. Burnett felt an immediate musical kinship with Ledger and signed him to a production deal. He helped facilitate a deal with Rounder and produced Ledger’s soon-to-be released first album for the label, which features performances by Burnett, Dennis Crouch, Marc Ribot, and Jay Bellerose. As Kyle Corneos of influential music blog Saving Country Music predicts, “you’ll want to be paying attention when Logan Ledger hits.”

The Marcus King Band

Marcus King and his top-flight band have been recognized as one of rock and roll’s most exciting new arrivals. The Fantasy recording artists latest album, the soulful Carolina Confessions, produced by Dave Cobb (Jason Isbell, Sturgill Simpson, Chris Stapleton), finds Marcus and band — drummer Jack Ryan, bass player Stephen Campbell, trumpeter/trombonist Justin Johnson, sax player Dean Mitchell and keyboard player DeShawn “D-Vibes” Alexander — hitting new creative milestones as King confronts family, forgiveness, mental health and a new-found freedom. The band will spend the majority of 2019 on the road including joining country music juggernaut Chris Stapleton for a slew of major dates on his All-American Road Show tour this summer.

SUSTO

SUSTO is the creative musical persona of Justin Osborne. The Charleston-based musician teamed with producer Ian Fitchuk (Kacey Musgraves, Ruston Kelly) for Ever Since I Lost My Mind, his Rounder debut. The album, released in late February, is a resounding triumph: a collection of deeply personal songs that explore connection, loss, and transience, and the pain and joy each brings. SUSTO’s sound defies easy categorization: Ever Since I Lost My Mind deftly combines a rock-rooted sound with synth embellishments, Latin heart, guileless folk, and more.

Lukas Nelson & Promise of the Real

Acclaimed country rockers Lukas Nelson & Promise of the Real: Nelson (guitar, vocals), Tato Melgar (percussion), Anthony LoGerfo (drums), Corey McCormick (bass, vocals) and Logan Metz (steel guitars, keyboards, vocals) enjoyed a breakthrough year in 2018. The band has toured relentlessly in support of their widely-acclaimed, self-titled album (released in 2017) and as the trusted road and studio band for their mentor Neil Young. Additionally, the Lukas and the band continue to make many appearances as an integral part of Willie’s famous Family Band. This past year, Lukas received widespread acclaim for his work on A Star Is Born, the smash film starring Lady Gaga and Bradley Cooper and its platinum-selling soundtrack – the trio recently won the BAFTA for Best Film Music. The band is set for dozens of high-profile headline and festival appearances this coming year including a long run across the U.S. with the Zac Brown Band.  Lukas Nelson & Promise of the Real are currently working on their highly anticipated new album set for release in summer 2019 on Fantasy Records.
