“I Was Wrong” Rises To #17 On Triple A Radio Chart
June Headline Tour Includes LA’s Troubadour (6/22) & More
NYC’s quickly rising sibling trio BAILEN today released their anticipated debut album Thrilled To Be Here via Fantasy Records. While their hit lead single “I Was Wrong” continues to climb the charts at Triple A Radio (rising this week to #17), the album, produced by John Congleton (St. Vincent, The War on Drugs) has earned praise from outlets including Rolling Stone, NPR Music (“Heavy Rotation: 10 Songs Public Radio Can’t Stop Playing”), Billboard, All Music, and more. The WXPN April ‘Artists to Watch’ were also profiled this week on their hometown news channel NY1 after making an early national TV debut on CBS This Morning: Saturday Sessions in late March. Thrilled To Be Here is now available to stream and purchase HERE.
BAILEN — the trio of fraternal twins Daniel (vocals/bass/synth/guitar) and David (vocals/drums), and younger sister Julia Bailen (vocals/guitar) — kick off their UK tour this weekend before returning for a west coast headline tour in June, which includes an album release show LA’s Troubadour on June 22nd. See below for a full itinerary of upcoming dates.
BAILEN’s otherworldly musicality springs from a very deep well. Raised in New York by their classically trained parents, Daniel, David and Julia immersed themselves in the family’s diverse record collection. The group’s highly collaborative songs are formed by three very different individuals who were all inspired by literature and a love of language. The resulting songcraft of Thrilled To Be Here is rooted in the young group’s preternatural dexterity, insight and lyrical bite.
The group emerged by cultivating a passionate following via their live show, guesstimating over 300 shows to date, and touring and collaborating with such artists as The Lone Bellow, Joseph, and Oh Wonder among others.
