VAN WILLIAM DECLARES HIS INDEPENDENCE WITH NEW SONG “WAKE ME UP”

Today, acclaimed rock singer-songwriter Van William releases new track “Wake Me Up” — a tender tune about the long journey to self-discovery and acceptance. “This is a song about the oceans of self-doubt that rise up and throw you against the wall whenever you try to create anything,” explains Van. “I’ve always struggled through it with music. I wish I could say it gets better, but I feel like it actually gets much worse as time goes on. After a while, I guess you just have to accept that its part of the bargain.”

Most recently, Van shared “When They Burn” as the first new music since the release of his debut album Countries out now via Fantasy Records. This string of new music will continue with the last of three songs dropping later this fall.
Van will be performing at the Lollapalooza Festival in Chicago, IL this Sunday August 5th. Following this, he’ll hit the road for his first headlining tour of the U.S. + Canada.
