SWITCHFOOT LAUNCHES NATIVE TONGUE TOUR WITH SOLD-OUT SHOW

On the heels of their Native Tongue album release, SWITCHFOOT launched their Native Tongue Tour with Colony House and Tyson Motsenbocker last night at a sold-out show in Asheville, N.C. The GRAMMY® Award-winning band rocked the packed Orange Peel with a passionate performance featuring a mixture of new releases and fan-favorite hits. 

Following shows in Knoxville and Atlanta, SWITCHFOOT is set to perform another sold-out show at the historic Ryman Auditorium in Nashville. The 43-city North American leg of the Native Tongue Tour wraps in Vancouver, British Columbia on April 13. Full list of dates available below.  

SWITCHFOOT is partnering with Food for the Hungry, an international relief and development organization, throughout the Native Tongue Tour to raise money for programs that help communities in 17 countries around the world move from extreme poverty to self-sustainability. In a Billboard.com feature, Frontman Jon Foreman shared: “We’ve never really rehearsed this hard for any tour. Because these songs are such a big leap forward into the future, we want to get it right. We’re thrilled to be playing these songs live and we want to do it justice. We’re excited to be connecting with our audience again.”  
 
Native Tongue, released January 18 via Fantasy Records, debuted at No. 2 on Billboard’s Rock Albums, No. 3 on Alternative Albums, No. 6 on Top Albums and Digital Albums, No. 22 on Vinyl Albums and No. 41 on Top 200. The album also charted No. 1 on Amazon’s Best Sellers in Alternative Rock, No. 6 on Best Sellers in Digital Albums and No. 20 on Best Sellers CDs & Vinyl as well as No. 2 on iTunes Top Albums Alternative and No. 5 on Top Albums All-Genre chart.
